The United Junior Hockey League (UJHL) is an Independent, Junior 'A' Tier III hockey league comprised of teams across the mid-east.  The league will provide the best possible environment for talented, young hockey players between 15 and 20 years-old to develop and showcase their team and individual skills.  The United Junior Hockey League is devoted to creating an honest and respectable environment that will open athletic and collegiate doors.  The league will function as a Junior 'A' Hockey League and the management philosophy will focus on the maturation process and character development of each individual young man, on and off the ice.  The UJHL is dedicated to creating first-class public relations through community involvement and volunteer efforts.

Our first and main goal is that of our players, with education first and hockey second. As we all know you need to have dreams in life, but we truly want honesty to our players for their skill set and level of placement to either the NCAA, Major Jr. or Pro Hockey.

Our mission is to add to the quality of life to the members, players and their community by providing the highest quality of junior hockey; by creating positive memorable experiences for all to enjoy; and by generously contributing to charities, and non-profit organizations throughout the areas of member teams.

Our vision is to become an integral part of the cultural and make-up of the communities our members play in and to be recognized by players, parents and fans, and the hockey community as the premier member organization of the UJHL by providing a professional, edcuational and positive environment which consistently produces championship caliber hockey; and to perpetuate and advance throughout North America and beyond.

The problem in today's Junior Hockey world  is a problem of politics and greed of finance, instead of working collectively for the players. As you have probably experienced the lies and empty promises, the UJHL has complete honesty to its members and players. The UJHL is that of success for its members and players by working as one and not individuals and not focusing on individual monetary ventures or individual success, yet as a collective body to grow for the success of its players.

There have been too many leagues that make too many promises to our sons of the game and we make the members and players the number one priority and not the common practice of politics or money. We are the first league ever to institute and have a "no fee franchise" in Junior Hockey. If you ask why, because we want the product to be tangible on the ice and not in the form of an economic or political view of an individual or member team. The UJHL is only as successful as its players and members, which means focus is on education and talent and not the player/parents check book.

By embracing the following values we can fulfill both our mission and vision. We acknowledge that all our priorities are on our members success and the success of the players moving to the NCAA, Major Jr. and Professional level, always keeping in mind that we are, first and foremost, a Junior Hockey Organization representing the highest level of hockey played in our league. We insist on members having the education and staff abroad to make sure every avenue is crossed to meet our players needs as if they were at home.

The foundational values are that of continuously developing trust for each other, our players and for all of our communities and by demonstrating respect for the uniqueness of every individual. We can build a confident, creative, disciplined league possessing a high degree of initiative to ensure the success of our members and players through education and mentoring.

We shall act with fairness and integrity in everything we do. In addition, we do not accept halfhearted efforts, but rather insist upon personal responsibility, accountability, and a commitment to excel from each of our members unto its players. Players should understand and expect their financial expense to play Junior Hockey as an investment and at the end of their Jr. Hockey career, they should know their path, whether that be the NCAA, Major Jr. or Pro. We expect our members to have goals set for their players which is a requirement monitored by the UJHL.

There is nothing we can do as individuals that we cannot do better as a league and for our players. Accordingly, we are dedicated to a singleness of purpose and insist upon open communication and mutual support for one another in everything we do. We further acknowledge the mutual importance of both our on and off ice efforts to succeed, and to the extent to which we work together and appreciate our respective contributions will ultimately determine our level of success together instead of individuals, which we see allot of in today's game.

We will never accept the status quo and firmly believe that sustained success will result from our collective ability to continually strive to improve each and every aspect of what we do and who we are as members of the UJHL, to better our players futures not as athletes but as young mature men as they move on in the world of life.

We acknowledge we are not a USA hockey sanctioned league, but their is no comparison needed as you can see by looking at our members Alumni Players and knowing that you do not truly need to be in a sanctioned league in order to produce a quality product, the teams are the ones that move players, not a sanctioned body.

We must support and share ideas that will proactively improve or make additions to an already stable product in the Junior Hockey World in the UJHL. We must remember that it is not a sanctioned league by USA/Canada Hockey that makes you succeed but the solid infrastructure of former Professional Players, Coaches and sound business members that will make your team the best it can possibly be in the new era of Junior Hockey.

                                                            Regards,
